PITTSBURGH, PA – July 6, 2026 – Acclaimed lead guitarist, singer, songwriter, yoga instructor, and mindfulness educator Patti Spadaro has released the official music video for her inspiring new single, “Mystic Misfit.” Beautifully filmed against the natural and urban landscapes of Pittsburgh, the video transforms the song’s themes of authenticity, presence, and inner balance into a deeply symbolic visual experience.

Filmed, directed, and edited by David Heath, the video features a solo Spadaro performing alongside the original audio track of “Mystic Misfit,” allowing the song’s message to take center stage, while Pittsburgh itself becomes a compelling visual character.

Throughout the video, Spadaro performs with her signature sunburst 1998 Paul Reed Smith guitar, distinguished by its iconic flying bird inlays – a fitting visual metaphor for the song’s themes of freedom, growth, and rising above limitations.

“Mystic Misfit” unfolds through subtle visual storytelling and stunning views. Every location and movement carries meaning.

“The bridge represents connection,” explains Spadaro. “Throughout the video I’m walking mindfully, staying present and following a path. It’s really a visual meditation.”

One of the video’s defining moments arrives during the chorus as Spadaro sings, “Meet me in the middle.” At that exact moment, she stands at the center of Pittsburgh’s famed Point, where the city’s three rivers converge—a powerful symbol of unity, balance, and common ground.

The natural progression of sunlight also becomes part of the narrative. Early in the video, the light falls slightly off-center before gradually aligning more directly with Spadaro as the performance unfolds.

“It’s symbolic of aligning myself with the light,” she says. “Finding my center.”

Surrounded by trees, flowing water, and Pittsburgh’s skyline, Spadaro inhabits an environment that feels simultaneously expansive and intimate. Reflections across the water reinforce the song’s recurring themes of self-examination and awareness, while the open landscapes evoke a sense of peace, clarity, and emotional freedom.

Some of the video’s most memorable moments weren’t planned at all.

As Spadaro sings the lyric “higher frequency,” a bird unexpectedly flies through the frame—a moment of spontaneous synchronicity that perfectly echoes the song’s spiritual imagery. In another happy coincidence, the flower on Spadaro’s shirt matches the blossom she pauses to smell during the video, subtly reinforcing the song’s invitation to slow down and appreciate the present moment.

Even the early morning sunlight becomes part of the performance, illuminating Spadaro’s hair with a warm, radiant glow that enhances the video’s quiet sense of wonder.

Originally released as a celebration of mindfulness, individuality, and authentic connection, “Mystic Misfit” blends Spadaro’s signature rock and jam-band influences with lessons drawn from her work as a yoga instructor, meditation teacher, and creator of the college course Mindfulness in Music. The official music video extends those themes visually, inviting viewers to experience the song not only as music but as a reflective journey.

At a time when distraction often dominates daily life, Patti Spadaro’s “Mystic Misfit” offers something refreshingly different—a reminder to pause, breathe, seek common ground, and embrace the beauty found in simply being present.
