Model Citisin Releases “Summer” on May 15th:
A Reimagined Indie Rock Anthem.

UK Indie Rock band MODEL CITISIN returns with their fifth single,
“Summer,” out Friday, May 15th 2026.
This track, a melodic, driving ode to late summer evenings, was originally recorded
instrumentally a few years ago. After discovering permanent hearing damage in his
left ear, frontman Nick Swettenham reimagined the vocals, transforming it into a
deeply personal piece.
Music runs deep in the Swettenham family. Nick’s father, Geoff, and uncle Peter
were unlikely figures in the late-60s rock movement. As founding members of the
psychedelic band Grapefruit, signed by The Beatles
in 1968 and named by John Lennon, their legacy has profoundly shaped Nick’s
artistic journey. Today, he proudly carries that musical heritage alongside his
brother Jamie on drums.
