Introducing Luanne Hunt’s “With A Song In My Heart” Singer/Songwriter Series in The Villages, FL

The Villages, FL – May 1, 2024 – Residents of The Villages are in for a treat as they dive into the heart of Nashville’s singer/songwriter scene with the launch of Luanne Hunt’s “With A Song In My Heart” Singer/Songwriter Series. The inaugural event will kick off at 6 p.m. on June 15th at the Old Mill Run Playhouse, located at 1000 Old Mill Run, Lake Sumter.

Sponsored by the Villagers for Veterans non-profit organization, founded by Villages resident Marie Bogdonoff, the series aims to raise funds for severely wounded veterans while providing a platform for talented local artists to shine.

“I’ve been astounded by the abundance of talent in Central Florida,” remarked Hunt, a Grammy-balloted, multi-award winning recording artist who previously produced the “For the Love of Country” concert benefiting Villagers for Veterans in 2022. “While Nashville offers countless opportunities, our local singer/songwriters often struggle to find their spotlight. This series aims to change that.”

The lineup for Hunt’s series features a diverse array of artists including Alivia Hunter, Ken Holt, Victoria Griffin, and Brett Robinson. Hailing from various parts of Florida, these artists bring their unique blend of folk, country, and Americana music to the stage.

“This promises to be a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience for our community,” Bogdonoff expressed her excitement about the upcoming event.

Aside from curating live entertainment, Hunt boasts an impressive musical career with 24 studio albums under her belt, showcasing her original compositions in folk, country, and Americana genres. Her accolades include six American Songwriting Awards, three CD of the Year awards from the National Traditional Country Music Association, and multiple nominations from the Josie Music Awards.  She is currently promoting her album, “Miles & Memories,” featuring her Spotify and iTunes chart-topping single, “The Vice.”

Following the June 15th event, the songwriter series will continue with shows on August 21st and November 11th. Tickets are priced at $20 for individual shows or patrons can save $15 by purchasing the series for $45. Tickets are available for purchase at www.villagersforveterans.org or by calling 516-220-5068.
