You are from Detroit, MI…such a rich musical history from Detroit. How has the   city influenced you on a personal level, as well as influencing your music?

Personally and musically, the city of Detroit influenced me to be a “Jack of all trades.” I know so many multi-talented people in my city, many of which don’t get the credit they deserve.

You’ve shared the stage with some pretty phenomenal acts: Scarface, Too Short, Bone Thugs…how did those shows come together, and who was your favorite to perform alongside, and why?

Most of those shows came together through my former manager Mike Steele. Out of the artists that I’ve shared the stage with, my favorite was Run D.M.C. It was so amazing to see those guys perform because they still brought the same energy that they had in the 80’s.

Tell us about your latest project, “Taurus.” What can fans expect?

There are ten songs on this album, all of which are near and dear to my heart. I am very excited about this project because my zodiac sign is Taurus. I have all the characteristics of this sign and I believe the Taurus is one of the most misunderstood zodiac signs out there. A lot of folks think the Taurus is just mean and stubborn but they never mention qualities such as loyal, honest to a fault, goal oriented, determined, and focused. I just wanted to shed some light on the good qualities of the Taurus. Fans can expect a full spectrum of raw human emotion: joy, pain, happiness, sadness, anger, appreciation of life, and love.

From your music, you seem to be a pretty spiritual person. How does that influence you on a daily basis?

It influences me greatly, so much so that I rarely make a major move without consulting my higher self.

You are a songwriter, Rapper, engineer, author and publisher. How do you find time for all of these things, and which is your favorite “hat” that you wear?

Life is all about balance. I just try my best to turn stress and negative pressure into productivity. Without a doubt, my favorite hat to wear is that of the songwriter. I just love the process of expressing my thoughts and trying to figure out how to make my feelings rhyme in sync with the music.

What do you enjoy doing outside of music and books? Any hobbies?

I love fishing, swimming, and working out.

Thanks for taking the time Charles, and best of luck!!
