FOXY MAMMALS BREAK THEIR SILENCE WITH “LOCK DOWN” A NEW SINGLE WITH A TWIST ON THEIR GARAGE ROCK SOUND

“We’re really excited about this new reléase! It’s a song about the actual lock down; it was written to set the suspense we all live in for the past year. Despite the initial dark sound it has a steady and catchy groove and a surprisingly minimalistic chorus that really grabs your attention and brings something totally new in our sound. That’s how Foxy Mammals describe “Lock Down”, which was produced, mixed and mastered once again with Grammy nominee Nick Page (Los Angeles –US).

The video for Lock Down it’s also presented in a new format for the band that have chosen animation instead of studio or live takes. The visual artist Selwyn Storer based in South Africa has done all the illustrations and comments about the process of creation: “When I heard Lock Down, the vibe of the song, the lyrics, and the script they wanted for it I immediately felt the connection with this new reality we all live in; it was easy creating the visual universe it tries to
portray. The band have been closely involved in the process too which was great, they’re an enthusiastic bunch! (laughs); and certainly the message of the song is powerful and hits home, so I’m really excited about it’s release”.

Foxy Mammals’ previous singles, Slow and Get Me Home, were published last year and available on Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music and Amazon music, and have reached over 70 countries and over 50.000 playbacks. They hope this new reléase will have an even better reach with this surprising new sound.

The band is setting a new calendar of live dates for this year to bring their sound to international festivals in 2021.
