MEXICO CITY, MEXICO – October 1, 2025 – Acclaimed Dutch multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Harry Kappen returns with the release of his latest single and lyric video, “The Longing.” The track serves as the opening piece and fourth single from his highly anticipated new album, FOUR.
“The Longing” dives deep into one of the most universal struggles of the human experience—the eternal battle between head and heart. Through raw lyricism and dynamic musical shifts, Kappen explores the tension between cool rationality and genuine emotion, ultimately revealing that while his heart may win, it never loses sight of reason.
Following the deeply personal “Courage” (inspired by his love for his wife and recent move to Mexico), the politically charged “Break These Chains,” and the widely praised “Be Brave If You Can,” Kappen now takes listeners on an introspective journey that speaks to every soul wrestling with inner conflict.
Musically, “The Longing” is one of Kappen’s most ambitious works to date. It flows seamlessly from quiet atmospheres to hard rock intensity, reflecting his years as a guitarist in Groningen-based rock bands.
