After receiving news of a terrifying health scare, Country/Americana artist Shari Rowe turned to her most trusted form of therapy—songwriting. The result is “Too Good To Go,” a beautifully inspiring and poetic reflection on the fragility and wonder of life. What began as a way to process potentially fatal news blossomed into one of Rowe’s most heartfelt compositions to date.

“‘Too Good To Go started as a poem that I wrote the night I thought the worst was happening—dealing with fear as a person of faith and pondering the juxtaposition of fear and gratitude,’” shares Rowe. “It grew into this song, coming from a place of reflection and deep appreciation. The way people in my life showed up for and supported me filled my heart in a way that has changed me forever. ‘I love that I’ve got so much to lose’—that line is the heartbeat of the song.

While on tour, Rowe experienced alarming health symptoms that led doctors to test for several possible causes. In March 2025, she received the news that there were signs of Multiple Myeloma, a form of blood cancer. That night, she grappled with fear and uncertainty by writing the poem that would later become “Too Good To Go.” Weeks later, she learned the final diagnosis—Eosinophilic Fasciitis, a rare but non-life-threatening autoimmune condition.

A Southwestern native with an unshakable faith and radiant stage presence, Shari Rowe has built a reputation for genuine connection with her audiences. She’s brought her high-energy performances to the stages of NFR in Las Vegas, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and Country Thunder, while opening for legends such as Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, and Tracy Lawrence.

Shari Rowe will be a guest on the “Whiskey and Cigarettes Show” on October 26, 2025.
