ABOUT BRACK JONES: Brack Jones, a longtime educator and music teacher in Abilene, TX, is proving that passion and perseverance can take a songwriter from the classroom to the airwaves. His debut EP, Almost Poetry, released in August 2024, features the Tom Petty–inspired single “Ode to Tom,” which earned him third place in the songwriter competition at the Outlaws and Legends Music Festival. Recorded at Fort Worth Sound with award-winning producer Bart Rose, the project captures Jones’ Americana blend of folk, blues, and country. His music has already been heard around the world—even reaching Liverpool, the hometown of The Beatles—while also resonating with local fans who recognize his voice as the announcer for Wylie High’s Pure Gold Band.

For Jones, music has always been deeply personal. Inspired by memories of his grandfather playing Bob Wills and driven by a lifelong love of songwriting that dates back to the early ’90s, he now finds joy in hearing others connect with his songs. Though his Apple Music page shows listeners on nearly every continent, some of his proudest moments remain close to home—like his wife and son catching his song on the radio before he did, or bus-route kids giving him “street cred” when they heard it with him for the first time. With future releases and performances on the horizon, Jones is equally at ease as a performer or behind the scenes as a songwriter, holding fast to one simple dream: to hear someone sing his words because they truly know and love them. For more information, please visit https://www.facebook.com/brack.jones.3
