ABOUT CINDY ELLIS: Cindy Ellis is a country music artist whose roots run deep in the traditions of family, faith, and folk music. Born into a musical household in Fort Worth, Texas, and later raised in central Arkansas, Cindy grew up harmonizing with her father and playing alongside her brothers in a family band. Their performances at local churches, the Ozark Folk Center, and festivals like Silver Dollar City’s Mountain Folk Music Festival became a cornerstone of her upbringing. Surrounded by a community of musicians, Cindy developed a lifelong love for songwriting and storytelling, blending heartfelt lyrics with a rich tapestry of Southern sounds.
After college—where she majored in English and fell in love with a cappella music—Cindy performed in a variety of country, rock, bluegrass, and gospel ensembles throughout Arkansas and Tennessee. Since moving near Nashville in 1983, she has continued to write, perform, and serve as a church musician, all while staying connected to her musical family roots.
