Orlando — The wait is over. Trevor Joseph, the rising force in the hip-hop scene, is back with brand new songs that push boundaries while staying true to the foundation of the genre at the same time. Producing, writing, mixing, and mastering the entire project on his own, and even shooting, and editing his own music videos, Trevor Joseph is one of the most diverse and hands-on artist of all time. The opening track, titled “Rude,” is an electrifying blend of raw lyricism and innovative production, showcasing Trevor’s growth as an artist/producer, and his commitment to delivering high-quality, thought-provoking music.
Known for his unapologetic storytelling and dynamic flow, Trevor has been steadily gaining momentum, earning recognition for his unique voice in a crowded industry. “Rise of The Gemini” marks a new chapter in Trevor’s journey, offering listeners an intimate glimpse into his experiences, struggles, and triumphs.
Track 2 “True” is about embracing your truth and not letting anything or anyone hold you back,
said by Trevor Joseph. “I want people to embrace the power of owning who they are, no matter
what the world says. This track is for anyone who’s ever felt like they’re not enough but still keep
going.”

Track 3 “Real” is about moving forward. Always looking ahead, making plans for progress, staying on target, and not having much time to play. This might mean that Trevor won’t be around for gatherings, and when it’s time to have fun. He expresses that those who love him may not always understand why he can’t be around at times, but how he sees it is; “if they love me right now that means they love the version of me that I am today, and if I wasn’t focused on my mission I wouldn’t be the version of me that they love. Therefore, my mission will always come first, and that’s just the way it is.”
Track 4 “Special.” When you find someone special and you want them in your life, it’s important to be a contribution to their life. Instead of taking their time and attention solely for your gain, it’s necessary to contribute to their progression as well. In this song, Trevor sings about a woman whose efforts to be well above average does not go unnoticed. He wants her, and he wants her to know if she chooses to come with him, he won’t weigh her down. But instead, will elevate her by contributing to her progress.

Track 5 “Come Through.” In this song Trevor tells the woman that he chose her. He explains that his life experiences have taught him to choose wisely when picking a mate, and he sees her as a wise choice. The lyrics: “Let’s experience time between Heaven and Hell, on a rock in the middle of space under Orion’s Belt.” Trevor is saying “let’s do life together here on Earth.” In the second verse, he says that he has lived life in a few different ways, now he knows himself, and he knows what he wants, and he wants her.

Track 6 “Affirmation.” This song highlights the things in Trevor’s life that are going the way he wants them to go. “Sometimes we could be blinded by all the things that aren’t quite working out the way we expect them to. I think it’s beneficial to remind ourselves from time to time how far we’ve come, and to not forget that it wasn’t always this way. As life goes on, it may seem like things are far from going in the direction we most desire, but know that when a problem gets fixed, other problems become more noticeable because the previous problem is no longer in the way. This is affirmation that you’re heading in the right direction. Although, you might feel down and in doubt of your path, be encouraged to continue adjusting more things to your liking one step at a time.”

Track 7 “Patience.” This song Patience is a reminder for Trevor to not worry about the things he can’t control, and focus on the things he can control. Trevor said “the things we can not control seem to be louder than the things we can, but when we stay focused on the things we can control and remain patient through it all, life tends to work out. Even when things happen to go wrong, or move in an unexpected direction, know what you want and continue to aim for it. The rest will sort itself out.”

Track 8 “Spatula.” The lyrics: “Big flippa, call me the spatula” is about taking what you’ve been given and flipping it into something great. “We more than likely will always be in a position where we don’t have all that we want to move forward, but learning how to take what you do have and use it for the purpose of our progression is a very important skill when it comes to success.”

Track 9 “Grown Ass Man.” Trevor states, “Growing up I’ve seen somewhat of a mutual belief that a man can’t be a strong, masculine man unless he’s some type of gangster. I never liked that idea. Just because a man isn’t gangbanging doesn’t mean he’s soft, or can’t handle his business. I’d like to change that way of thinking in our culture. In this song, I express my thoughts about that. I understand that the concept of keeping it gangster isn’t actually about being a gang member. It’s actually about being a stand up guy however, words are very powerful. Over time the message becomes a mess, and our youth doesn’t seem to understand the true meaning. That being said, I think we should choose our words carefully.” The lyrics “I ain’t no gangster, I’m just a grown ass man.” Suggest that a man can be a strong, masculine, stand up man without being a gangster.
Track 10 “Fwayzie.” Fwayzie is a word Trevor made up to express when something is obnoxiously fly. “Keep it Fwayzie,” suggests that one is persistent in remaining above mediocre in everything they do.

Track 11 “Runner.” Runner is about chasing your dreams. What could be named the theme song of the album, the lyrics, “all my hard work is ‘gon rise,” suggests that Trevor’s efforts to succeed will indeed pay off. Trevor said “I wanted to make a motivational workout song where I sing about staying focused on your goals. A triple percussion, backed by a consistent bell, following a 145 beats per second tempo for four minutes and twenty two seconds. The song is set up perfectly to run a 4 minute mile. The timing of the ambient breaths in the background (in through the nose, out through the mouth) line up perfectly to take each step forward while maintaining a steady pace.”
Track 12 “Pimpin on A Dream.” As a kid Trevor used to dream about pursuing a profession in some form of artistry. As most dreams go, he grew up and his dreams faded away behind the responsibilities of becoming an adult. Through that time Trevor learned a lesson that continually fuels his career. “The life you want isn’t going to pick you, you have to specifically choose it for yourself.” Now, as he’s putting all that he has into making his dreams come true, he feels like he is exactly where he’s supposed to be. The phrase “Pimpin on A Dream” suggests that he’s in control of his life while making his dreams a reality.
Fans of Trevor can expect the same authenticity and passion that has defined his earlier work, but with an evolved sound that blends classic hip-hop influences with a contemporary edge.
“Rise of The Gemini” is available now on all streaming platforms, and Trevor Joseph is gearing up for a series of live performances and more exciting projects in the near future.
