Charlotte, NC – [May 6, 2025] – Acclaimed recording artist Christopher L. Ervin and his dynamic choir, Abraham’s Descendants (AD), are thrilled to announce that they have made it to the first-round ballot for the Stellar Awards, Gospel music’s highest honor.
Formed with a mission to share a message of hope through Gospel music, Christopher L. Ervin brought together an ensemble of anointed vocalists and musicians from across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida, and Maryland. United in purpose and spirit, this Charlotte-based choir—affectionately known as AD—has grown into one of Gospel’s most exciting and inspiring new voices.
AD’s journey began with a national debut at Bishop Hezekiah Walker’s Choirfest in 2013. They later appeared on John P. Kee’s VIP New Artist Showcase CD in 2016, leading to the release of their live recording, The Process, in 2018, which soared into the Top 20 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart. Their 2020 follow-up, Take 2, debuted at #3 on the iTunes Gospel/Christian charts, and their latest project, Recovery, dropped in Summer 2024 to critical acclaim. With a unique sound marked by excellence, passion, and precision, Christopher L. Ervin & AD have graced stages with industry giants such as Michael McDonald, Nick Jonas, Pastor John P.
