Vents Magazine recently published its interview with Canadian country trio, WESTERN AVENUE. Here’s an excerpt:
Vents: What’s the story behind the band’s name?
WESTERN AVENUE: It’s one of those things that sometimes I wish there was a better story behind it… haha. Our initial practices were on a street called Western Avenue. We were looking for a band name & I was driving to rehearsal and thought “Hey…Western Avenue would be a cool name”. Kind of has that country-roots undertone to it. Got to rehearsal & told Nikki & she said that she had been thinking the same thing! From that moment on, we were Western Avenue!
