It’s All Country
You don’t often get the chance to hear a Country musician from Anchorage, Alaska; however, with Doug Briney, that is exactly what you get. Briney’s latest album, It’s All Country, is a collection of Country songs, most of which have been big hits on Country radio. Briney does a great version of Chris Young’s “The Man I Want To Be.” He has a deep, soulful voice that lends itself well to the melody of this chart topper. Briney seems to like songs about life and things that are most important, as heard in the songs “Déjà Vu All Over Again” and “Second Dance.” The album closes with a version of Ronnie Dunn’s hit, “Bleed Red.” This moving ballad about forgiveness is one of the highlights on this album. Although it’s hard to top Ronnie Dunn, Briney does the song justice. The musical track is wonderful, as well. Long live Country music!
