MTS Management Week In Review; Upcoming Artist Appearances 5/20/12

It’s time for another edition of our weekly recap, where we look back at last week’s happenings here at MTS Management Group, and we look ahead at this coming week’s interviews, performances and appearances by our artists. It was an amazing week for everyone, so let’s get right to it…

As many of you may have heard, we have severed our management relationship with Bryan Cole. After two successful years together, during which we received many accolades, much airplay and incredible chart success, we have mutually decided to part ways. However, MTS Management is still involved with the radio promotion of Bryan’s current single, “Love Doesn’t Live Here,” which maintained it’s #24 position on the New Music Weekly country chart, while climbing 1 spot to #15 on the NMW Indie chart. With a few weeks left in the promotion, we are hoping for another Top 10 appearance. On a side note, we were happy to make a recent discovery: “Love Doesn’t Live Here” had charted on the Mediabase chart earlier this year! While we can’t confirm its highest chart position on Mediabase, we can confirm that it made it as high as #121. This was the second consecutive Mediabase chart single for Bryan…quite an accomplishment for an indie artist. We wish Bryan all the best in his future musical endeavors!

Xander Demos kicked off the week with an appearance on the Nightmares with Malice Cooper show, broadcasting on several internet stations, including Metal Kulture Radio. In case you missed the initial broadcast, the podcast is available for download, for a limited time, RIGHT HERE. Xander also announced two big charity festival gigs coming up in July, one in Hagerstown, MD and one in Saltsburg, PA. For the whole story, GO HERE. On Thursday evening, Xander taped an interview with DJ Synderela from Metal Messiah Radio. That conversation will be broadcast at a future date, and we’ll let you know as soon as we get the info. Saturday saw a flurry of activity, as Keep It Metal Promotions posted their feature on Xander, as their artist of the week. Xander also dropped by Metal Messiah Radio and chatted with fans in their live Chat Room. His music was also spotlighted on the Scott Rox show, broadcasting on Sun FM, KSVY in Sonoma, CA. Xander called in for a live interview, during which Scott offered a healthy dose of praise upon him. International radio airplay for “White Knuckle Driving” continued to flourish, as stations in Europe are all over the song. What’s up for this coming week? Xander has two interviews scheduled: On Wednesday, Xander will be on the Heavy Metal Happy Hour with The Fishman, and on Thursday, he will be interviewed by Rock Over America. Be sure to check out Xander’s Facebook Fanpage for all the latest, as it happens.

Last, but certainly not least, Doug Briney enjoyed the biggest week of his burgeoning career, so far. At the beginning of the week, he announced a very special ONLINE concert event that will help raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. There are less than 50 tickets left for this Stageit.com performance that you can enjoy right in your living room, office, den, wherever….Click HERE for more details and to get your “Pay What You Can” ticket. On Sunday, Doug was named the “Male Artist of the Week” by the CMG Radio Network. Then, on Wednesday, we learned that Doug had topped the CMG Radio Network’s country chart with “More Than Just a Farm!” Doug also came in at #20 on their international artist Top 200 chart. Speaking of international airplay, according to Triplestrand Promotions, who is handling the international radio campaign for Doug’s single, “More Than Just a Farm” was played on more than 270 reporting stations for the second week in a row! Way to go, Doug!! On Friday, he performed another stellar, standing room only show at Lone Star Steakhouse in Anchorage, AK. The crowds are loving him there. In other Anchorage news, Doug made his TV commercial debut this week in a spot for the Channel 2 Fishing Report. We’ll have more on that story on Monday. Finally, on Saturday, we learned that the video for “More Than Just a Farm” was #6 on the Myspace Music Video chart. See that story HERE. What’s up for Doug this week? On Monday, Doug will be interviewed by Rock Over America. He will also be returning to Lone Star. So, if you want to see the hottest country act to come out of Alaska in some time, don’t miss Doug’s performance.
