Marshall Dane: Beyond The Dawn Radio Interview

1505326_10152315908216740_8967875330215400859_nBeyond The Dawn Radio recently interviewed Canadian country heartthrob, Marshall Dane, and the transcription is now available on their website.  Here’s an excerpt:

If I were to take a ride with you in your car or truck, wait… which one do you have? What kind of music would I hear coming out of your speakers?

Marshall Dane :  I have a motorcycle with no stereo…ya just listen to the wind:) But if we take the big old buick (she’s gorgeous) you’d probably catch me listening to Zac Brown or Chantal Kreviazuk, Shawn Mullins or Eric Church:)

Tell me about your rocking album, “One of these days.” How did you come up with the title of your album? Which song is your most favorite?

Marshall Dane :  This is the first collection of music I’ve made, where the title came from the title of a song that was going on the album.  When trying to come up with a cool title, and trying to summarize what the collection meant to me….I decided that One Of These Days, not only summarized the album as a whole, but the song itself had special meaning to me….It was the very first song written for the new record…It’s empowering, motivating and doesn’t wallow in the past, instead encourages taking charge of the “now”, and enjoying lifes ‘every’ moment,…stop waiting, start living.
