The Roots Music Report charts for weekending March 22, 2013 are out, and for the first time in MTS Management Group history, we have 2 artists charting simultaneously: Doug Briney, on the True Country chart, and Jiggley Jones, on the Roots/Americana country chart. Here’s the story on both of these amazing artists:
Last week, Jiggley Jones debuted at #45 on the Roots Music Report’s Americana/Roots chart. This week, Jiggley’s EP, “No Spring Chicken” climbs 5 spots to #40. He comes in ahead of big name artists like Ronnie McDowell, Billy Ray Cyrus, Hank Williams, Jr. and Willie Nelson. Congratulations, Jiggley!!
Meanwhile, Doug Briney’s album, It’s All Country continues its 4 month run on the RMR True Country chart. Much of that time has been spent in the Top 20. This week, Doug slips out of the Top 20 to #23, but he still comes in ahead of artists like Mark Chesnutt, Josh Turner and Alan Jackson. Way to go, Doug!!
