Xander Demos Band To Open For Hard Rock Veterans Stryper

Feb. 25, 2014 – PITTSBURGH — MTS Management Group is proud to announce Xander Demos and his band, XDB will be opening for hard rock veterans, Stryper. The concert will take place on June 12, 2014 at Altar Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets for the all agest Drusky Entertainment event are $27 in advance and $30 at the door.  They can be purchased in advance at http://www.xanderdemos.bigcartel.com. Also on the bill is Pittsburgh-based Christian hard rock band, Angelight. Iron City Rocks podcast is a co-presenter of this event.

“This is going to be an incredible night of metal fretboard fireworks and soaring melodic metal vocals,” said Xander’s manager, Michael Stover of MTS Management Group. “Michael Sweet and Oz Fox of Stryper have long been regarded as one of the top guitar tandems in the business, and of course, Xander is fast becoming known among the shred metal guitar community, as having blazing speed, as well as tastefully melodic phrasing.  Stryper has always been known for the big harmonies and earth-shattering screams of Sweet.  Mario Brescia of XDB, can also wail with the best of them. Since XDB walked away with a slew of Iron City Rocks Awards this year, it’s very fitting to have them on what is sure to be a sold out bill.”

The iconic quartet of Stryper—Michael Sweet [vocals, guitar], Robert Sweet [drums], Oz Fox [guitar], and Tim Gaines [bass]—built a formidable catalog since first forming in 1983. They’ve sold over 10 million albums worldwide, garnered GRAMMY Award nominations, scored DOVE Awards, sold out arenas everywhere, and inspired one of the most diehard fan bases in history. The band’s signature style of overpowering melodies, harmony solos and thunderous rhythms is certainly its trademark, but it hits harder than ever on 2013’s No More Hell To Pay.
