From MuzicNotez.com: Burnside & Hooker “Rail Yard Hymns”

Based out of Chicago, Burnside & Hooker merges together the styles of stripped-down folk, indie pop/rock, and soulful blues. The band was created when former members of Counting 10 – guitarist Michael Vogus, violist Diana Mayne, cellist Ted Graham, and bassist Paul DeNovi – teamed up with vocalist Rachel Bonacquisti and drummer Michael Vuckovich.

Having just released their debut album, “Rail Yard Hymns”, Burnside & Hooker has been described as “a jazzier blues stuck inside the Wild West” (Musical Chairs Podcast). Tracks from “Rail Yard Hymns” have been played on Chicago Independent Radio Project (CHIRP) and Fearless Radio, and multiple tracks from the album have appeared as the Song of the Day on Chicago Music Guide.

Burnside & Hooker also performs live shows around the Chicago area, including Lincoln Hall, Schuba’s, Beat Kitchen, and has played ChillFest Chicago. Bringing in the New Year, they will be playing House of Blues and Metro.
